We are architectural designers and aging-in-place specialists, living with the effects of a spinal cord injury since 1995.
We live Universal and Accessible Design every day and help homeowners, builders, designers, and architects understand what kind of modifications are necessary to make any home easier to use, more accessible, and visitable for the greatest number of people regardless of age or ability.
We call this increasing the value of your home, and here’s why:
Most of the homes in the US have been built for young, healthy people. This habit of building continues for new homes being built in the US, even though the largest part of our population is over 50 years old. For the next 30 years, this over-50 demographic is the fastest growing segment of our population. This home-design environment creates functional issues, as most people want to remain in their homes as they continue to age.
Molly has been an Architectural Designer since 1981 and Jeramy is a Certified Aging In Place Specialist with the National Association of Homebuilders and AARP. Both are graduates of the Executive Home Modifications program at the University of Southern California.
Here are the three ways we can help you with your Design Projects:
- Telephone or in-person consultation about your project.
- Review of your existing home plans and consultation.
- Review of your architect’s plans for a remodel, add-on, or new home and consultation
